Today was a glorious sunny day! Miles got to check out 2 different playgrounds, both a few blocks away — one in Central Park and the other in Riverside Park. Miles LOVES the swings! He was tuckered out by the end of the day, and Brett and I got to enjoy a coffee at the cafe next door while he slept …

Well, sort of sitting up…Miles can steady himself and sit pretty well but then eventually topples over.

Miles just started saying “ba” sounds YESTERDAY! He was practicing putting his lips together and yesterday the “bas” came out in full force:

Got the go ahead to give Miles rice cereal from the pediatrician. Thanks to Meggie who recommended Earth’s Best. Looks like gruel from Oliver Twist! Most of it ended up on Miles’s face, but he got to use his pewter cup and dish from Grandpa. I’ll put a video in later.

We had a nice weekend with brunch with Lauren and Ivan, and Miles met his first friend — Rocket Shafor, who is the son of our friends Victor and Aviva!

From Week 18

..across the street at Cafe Con Leche this Sunday with Lauren and Ivan. He couldn’t quite sit up in a baby seat, so we took turns holding him.
