Halloween Robot Extravaganza!

The Halloween pictures are finally here!

Miles and Xavier were BOTH robots.

I made Miles’s out of cardboard, and per his request it was complete with lights that he could adjust (LED portable light and flashing star lights), a working clock, and dials (kitchen timer that he could work). Xavier got a toned-down plush version made of felt.  Brett and I found some shiny, sparkly leggings at American Apparel to complete the look!

Halloween evening, the Wednesday after Superstorm Sandy, was a quick run through our building, the decked-out brownstones on 95th street, and our other NYC neighbors on our block: the cleaners, nail salon barber-shot, corner deli and liquor store ALL handed out candy.  Miles got to trick or treat with his friend from school, Emmet.

Finally, Saturday afternoon we headed over to Riverside Hippo playground for a Halloween parade: 2 kilted bagpipers led the kids from Riverside Drive down to the playground, where there were donuts and cider and a ton of kids high on sugar!

What an event!
